Private Jet Charter Safety

Every flight we arrange is operated by a certified air carrier. In the United States that means FAR Part 135; in Switzerland it means an air operator certificate issued by the Federal Office of Civil Aviation under European Union Aviation Safety Agency rules. Both set operating, crew and insurance requirements well beyond those for private, non-commercial flying, which cannot be sold as charter in either place.

Before we recommend an operator, we confirm the air carrier certificate is current, review the operator’s safety and incident history, and verify the pilots are experienced and current on the specific aircraft type you will be flying on. The rules set minimum crew requirements by aircraft type; some types are certified for single-pilot operations. We confirm pilot qualifications on every trip regardless of crew configuration.

For operators that participate in third-party audit programs, we factor those results into our recommendation. Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them. That standing gives us access to Wyvern PASS safety data on participating operators. We also reference ARGUS ratings where applicable. Neither program covers every operator; when an operator falls outside these programs, your advisor will tell you and explain the alternative due diligence we applied.

We operate under DOT Part 295 strictly as your agent. We do not own or operate any aircraft. We arrange the flight on your behalf, which means our interests are aligned with yours, not with the operator’s. That relationship is documented in your charter agreement on every booking.
